Special Election
Here in Kahli-fohrnia, we had a special election today. Regardless of my position on the propositions (for some, against some) or the fact that I didn’t vote, I completely disgusted by how easily the voting population is manipulated by advertisements.
Voters were quoting statements (word for word) from the commercials, “I didn’t like that teachers could be fired on the spot.” or “It seemed like redistricting was a GOP power grab.” I believe in software the popular term for those ads is FUD.
Instead of spending all this time and money for the election, we could come up with a mathematical function. Given the amount of money each side has to spend and how good their respective marketing firms are, the function will tell us whether a proposition will pass or not.
