New and Improved
OK.. I haven’t done much with my website lately, but I’ve just made some changes and added some things. And I have some rants, and other things too. And I’ll list them out too!
- Added title support to my blog entries! woot! Hrmm.. will look better for searches and other things. Otherwise it doesn’t add to much right now. Went through and added titles to my old entries. Lucky for me I don’t blog much
- Removed the login, and remain logged in option. I didn’t like the PHPSESSIONID url rewriting (it’s kinda ugly) and there really isn’t a good reason/need for a user to be logged in (except for editting related stuff, that’ll just have to be done another way).
OK.. some rants now:
- Why do people post stupid things in the comments section?
- Why does it seems like half the examples from the official SOAP specs have an erroneous start tag (they end with /> which indicates that it is an empty tag)? Am I misreading something?
Things to come:
- I’ve been working on a Java 2 ME XML parser (for me to use with SOAP), that’s pretty close to being “done”. I’ll be releasing it under an Open Source License. It is non-validating, and it is both a pull parser and a model parser.
- I really do plan on implementing something to browse through my blog archives, and some way to search. The title feature was a step in that direction
- Though lots of the external features are already done, and working, a lot of the admin related stuff is still very raw. About the only thing that works is the “New Blog Entry”. So I have a bit to do on that side of things
- Oh yeah.. though damned “Preview” buttonw!
