What’s New?
Whew.. I’ve put in a bunch of stuff in the last 24 hours. OK, maybe not a bunch of stuff, but there are many noticeable differences now on the site.
- The calendar. This displays the current month with today’s date highlighted. Days with blog entries are highlighted as well (in white).
- Searching has been implemented. Accessible from the main blog page, and from the sitemap. Searching is keyword based and only searches blog entries right now (no comments, not that there are many of those either ;)).
- Paging on the main blog page. You can now page back and forth, to view older or newer entries.
Things to come:
- That archive page. Not as important now that there is actually a way to go back, but should still be implemented because it’s the right thing (paging all over the place doesn’t make much sense) and because I want to.
- Need to do some work on the admin side (still).
- That damned preview button.
- Hrmm.. I forget, I thought there was more. Anyways I had hoped to get the archive stuff done today/yesterday (with the search) but things always take longer. Bleah.
And that (read more) feature. I think I’m going to deprecate the use of that. Not super useful I guess, and I’m not using it much. It would force me to start everything with some sort of summary and many entries don’t really accomodate that well. Oh well.
