Well your resume sucks!

First, you need a more colorful resume like mine. Second, your list of skills is minimal. You may not be the master of ASP, Javascript, COM, ATL, etc. but you still need to list some skills you have a good comfort in.. That's whats gonna get you into the interview. If recruiters are getting hundreds of resumes and all yours say is C/C++/PHP then obviuously they are goin to disregard yours quickly.

Also, you need to get into the .NET scene... ASP.NET and c#.. Thats where the money's at...

"There is no debate, it's an employer's market and they want work experience AND college experience."

Right, right, of course they do. But perhaps I need to spell it out for you. 5+ years of experience and a four year degree will probably take you 9+ years. The old debate being, after the first four years, which is more likely to be employed: the person who worked for those four years or the person who "just" got out of college. Now, I understand that some people work all those years in college too, but that is also beside the point. Of course, the people who went through college are always more valuable in the end, because then they have the college degree and the work experience.

Unforunately these jobs want 5+ years of experience and a 4 year degree. There is no debate, it's an employer's market and they want work experience AND college experience.

Your resume just sucks. It's an old debate: work experience or college experience.

No doubt, you can land a better and higher paying job than I can. But I'm more likely to get a job. Eh, I am employed.

I do hope that you find a job and one that you like.
