Breaking In My New Wallet
I recently got a new wallet. I’d been bitching and moaning about my old wallet for some time now. I kept on putting off getting a new wallet because I couldn’t find anything that completely satisfied me. After scouring the web, looking at many pictures, I decided to just bite the bullet, and get something nice.
I rationalize my decision by saying that because I’m spending good money on a quality brand, I can be assured that is will serve me well and long. Well… I have heard good things about their durability. But I’m sure some elitism played into my purchasing.
The design should be ‘marginally’ thinner than my old one. Oh well.. that was the primary goal. But the problem right now is it can barely hold the stuff that I used to have in my old one. Why? Because it is as stiff as can be. I guess it needs to be broken in. I hate having to break things in. Especially shoes. I would avoid wearing new shoes because they’re uncomfortable, and this would lengthen the breakin period, causing me to aviod them further, .. repeat. Like my hiking boots. I avoided them initially, but now I barely feel them, and I’m happy as can be about them. Maybe that’s why I like my Oakley shoes. They use some really soft rubber-like compounds for the soles, and they’re extremely comfortable without any breakin period.
Summary of post: I have a nice wallet. But needs to be broken in. I don’t like to have to break things in.
