The Perfect Cell Phone (2)
You can read about my vision of the perfect cell phone here.
Now it obviously still doesn’t exist. But… Sony has announced (sorta) their newest Clie, the PEG-UX50.
Oooooh.
Let’s see. WiFi? Check. Bluetooth? Check. Expansion Slot? Kinda check (Memory Stick). Thumbboard? Check. Landscape display? Check. Camera? Check.. why not?
OK, it’s kinda missing the whole phone part, but it’s got pretty much everything else. But it’s got Bluetooth, so it should have no problems linking up with your favorite Bluetooth phone.
It’s close to what I want, and gives me lots to hope for. Though it still misses a few points. From the pictures it still seems too big. And I dunno about squezzing 80 columns into 480 pixels. I guess it is feasible. And sure beats the endless horizontal scrolling on the Tungsten C. Oh.. and it should have more memory.

Site News: The end user features are pretty much done. Can you believe it? The blog is pretty much all done. Searching, archives, posting, previewing, editting, etc. I need to revisit the generic archives page, but it works ‘OK’ for now. The picture gallery is all implemented as well. I guess the only thing that really doesn’t work at this time, is the random picture on the frontpage. But it would help if I had some random pictures to show as well.
On the other hand, the admin side still needs some work. I need to implement editting, previewing, and deleting for the blog stuff and editting and deleting for the picture gallery.
But I’m stoked nevertheless.
