Oakley
OK, I admit it.. I’m an Oakley whore. I like their style. I have a bunch of their sunglasses, shoes, and apparel. I also have perscription frames. And now, I have another. I went to the optometrist today, had my eye exam, and looked for new frames. I’m always disappointed in the selection of frames no matter where I go. Though, the good thing was that they had a larger selection of Oakley frames than other places I’ve been. As I was trying the non-Oakley frames out (the Oakley ones were locked up), I found myself finding all sorts of reasons to disqualify the frames. “Too square.” “Too narrow.” “Doesn’t sit well.” I had to wonder whether these were valid complaints or whether I was just simply set on getting an Oakley frame. I did eventually find a frame that was satisfactory, some expensive Gucci thing.
I eventually got to try the Oakley frames, and I found myself doing the same again. So, as appealing as the Oakley brand is, I couldn’t compromise on comfort and fit. I eventually found a frame that fit well, and compared it with the Gucci one. The were similar in style and the fit was similar. But in the end the Oakley one was cheaper and felt like it fit a little better. In the end I chose the Oakley Off Line frame. (I’m not sure if they’re the 6.0, but they all look the same.)
