Projects Again
It really hasn’t been that long since I last posted. It just got lost in the server move. Doh! I should pay attention to the emails they send me sometimes. This is a little recap from the best of my memory:
Immediate Projects:
- A packet sniffer that displays images along the lines of Etherpeg.
- An HTTP proxy based AIM client that works on all (most?) J2ME phone.
Later Projects:
- Site redesign in CSS. Something more colorful and bolder.
- A scripting language with C like syntax, object based, and hrmm.. I dunno. But I use PHP and Perl too much these days, and there are always some little things that bug me.
- A search engine. Mostly for experimenting with really large databases. I am curious about what performance would be like on really really large databases (on either MySQL or Postgres) on run of the mill hardware.
Another note: With some 6 other wireless access points near by at my apartment, my laptop had problems finding the right one and staying connected. I finally decided to flash upgrade the ROM on the access point, and miraculously I now connect pretty quickily and the connnection remains strong and consistent. Happy days…
