Books

Some books I want to get:

  • Design Patterns

  • The Practice of Programming

  • More Effective C++

  • Effective STL

For work:

  • MySQL Cookbook

Yea, I’m a nerd. (I used unordered lists, but that’s pretty much the order I want them in. Though the MySQL book is kinda in a separate queue.)

    HTML is not allowed? What a grinch!

    Sounds like a Christmas wishlist to me. :) I’ve heard of Design Patterns (in fact, it was being passed around the development department here many months ago). Many good comments were made about that book (and it has the cool Escher cover art).

    Naw.. more like a shopping list. I think I’ll pick up “Design Patterns”, “The Practice of Programming”, and “MySQL Cookbook” this week?

    Want me to pick anything up for you? I’ve got a 25% off thingy I can take advantage of at Barnes and Nobles (or was it Borders?).

    Hey now, how do you expect your friends to surprise you with gifts when you publicly post a wish list and then declare that you’re buying the books from it? At least you mentioned which ones you’re buying.

    And in case you’re wondering, the things on your Amazon wish list are far too expensive except for all that sex stuff.

    I’ll pass your offer, though thanks for offering. I mismanaged my finances this paycheck and will be suffering until the next one.
