Geek Gifts

For Valentine’s, I received an awesome geek gift: Cuboro

It is a bunch of uniformly sized wood blocks with tunnels and tracks carved in them. By mixing and matching them around you can assemble interesting courses. It really is quite entertaining for those who like to build things, anyways (ie programmer types).

I got the standard set, and my main gripe with it is there aren’t in tunnel pieces that turn without descending a level. At the same point, if they had pieces for everything I don’t think it would be as much fun. Part of the challenge is to assemble something amusing and grand within the limits you’re given.

Highly recommended, fun for ages that don’t stick things in their mouths (comes with marbles).
