Projects
I’d promised myself yesterday that I would update daily with something at least moderately interesting. Of course I didn’t post yesterday. It was a good idea, anways.
Regarding ToccerPalm (my PalmOS AIM client), I’d say I’m about 40% there. The most significant work remaining is the actual chat interface (and along with that: logging and display logic, a chat preference form and logic). The buddylist form is pretty much done I think, except for some preference forms to code up. I’m pretty happy with the progress I’ve made, however I wish I had more time to devote to it. Ultimately my goal is to have something “done” by August before I head out for a long weekend away from the Internet.
Regarding my website rewrite, most of the core logic is in place. I guess the remaining stuff is the not so fun stuff (form processing, and other UI related stuff). I’m pretty happy with the concept, but I can’t help but feel my implementation could be better.
I’m kinda aiming to have the “real” release of both at approximately the same time because I don’t want to maintain a project section for ToccerPalm in the existing system (there isn’t a system). And then later have another page/section to “port” over to the new site.
My search engine? Wishing I had more time and more room in my head. I put some occasional thought into it but I’m busy enough. Though I do feel like there is a window of opportunity that I shouldn’t miss.
