I’ve been contemplating switching my blog (and my entire site) to some third-party software. Primarily for some additional features (like feeds) that half of my audience have been requesting (the whole one person). My frist choice was WordPress. I poked around with version 1.2x and 1.3something. Installation was a breeze, and everything went relatively smooth. Things seemed to be laid out pretty straightfoward. I even coded up an import script to load my data in WordPress. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be switching. WordPress is nice but unfortunately it doesn’t offer much more/enough for me to upgrade. I think I’ll hold out until I finish my own content management system (CMS).
