Social Bookmarking
I’ve got some interesting ideas for social bookmarking. I had started to work on a site but it seems like the market is slowly becoming overcrowded with sites. Delicious, Delirious (I can’t remember where the periods go), plus a bunch of others. Though I don’t believe any of them have implemented my ideas. With all of these sites springing up, I was considering abandoning my site.
However, a little later I was looking into Ruby on Rails. I wanted to build a relatively small project and give it a twirl (whirl?), to see what all the hype is about. I have since decided that my social bookmarking site would make a good test for Rails. The site is largely expendible (since it was basically abandoned). And at the same point there was some groundwork that should get be started with Rails. And if Rails lives up to the hype, and I complete my app, all the better.
