Funny Money

When we were in China, one of the little things that drove me crazy was the sizes of the currency (the bills). They came in all sorts of sizes and keeping them sorted and in a nice stack was difficult. I couldn’t understand why they would make them all different sizes. I guess if you were good you could tell them apart, but I don’t know if people actually bother to do that. I can’t remember if Argentina was the same.

But after reading about the ruling on US Currency discriminating against the blind, I guess it makes sense now. Blind people have no alternative method of determining the value of their bills. I hope the government/Mint finds another method to aid the blind, like embossing the amount or something. I want to have my money in neat little stacks (keyword: little).
